You arrive hand-in-hand, breathing in the warm, humid air as the jungle hums around you. Warm breezes brushing your skin, the scent of tropical flowers lingering in the air, and a slow, grounding quiet that invites you to exhale fully for the first time in a long while. Your eyes catch one another’s and your instantly feel that spark again, and the desire to learn every inch of your partner’s body and soul.

As you and your partner stand together near the gentle rush of a waterfall, something inside you begins to loosen … old patterns, unspoken tensions, the subtle distance that routine can create.
Suddenly it’s just the two of you and the steady roar of water, the rhythm of your heartbeats, the warmth of your partner’s hand in yours. Standing there, surrounded by the raw power of nature, you feel something strengthen between you. A soft, grounding presence that reminds you that no matter what phases you’ve moved through or how far routine has pulled you apart, you can always return to the simple truth of choosing each other again.

On the beach, the sun warms your skin, the ocean wind brushes your cheeks, and the rhythmic pull of the waves naturally draws you closer. Walking side by side, sand shifting beneath your feet, you feel the simple ease of just being together again. No roles, no responsibilities, just the warmth of a hand on your back, fingers intertwining, and the gentle awareness of how good it feels to move in sync.
Your bodies become close, feeling ripples of vibration move through the water and through both of you, reminding your bodies how to relax, to trust, to lean in. You remember the tenderness, desire, and curiosity that first sparked between you, and you feel it returning, soft, natural, and complete.

You and your partner glide Costa Rican blue clay across each other’s skin, soft, cool, earthy, fingers brushing slowly, shapes shifting as you trace memories and dreams on each other’s arms and shoulders, the clay leaving behind a delicate pattern of connection.
In moments like these you remember how it feels to belong. How it feels to desire one another, soft passion building deeper into heated intimacy, allowing your eyes to see the depths of your connection, and your bodies to feel the frequency you create together.
What to Expect
During your stay, you’ll immerse yourselves in several nights at a beautifully appointed Costa Rica retreat sanctuary on the hilltop overlooking the evening sunsets. Every detail is designed to help you drop in, soften, and reconnect without distraction, pressure, or responsibility.
You’ll experience a blend of guided couples sessions and personalized 1:1 support with a licensed therapist who specializes in helping high-achieving partners elevate their relationship to its next powerful chapter. Through intimate group workshops and private sessions, you’ll deepen communication, strengthen intimacy, and open new pathways of understanding and desire.
By the time you leave, you’ll carry home actionable tools, shared rituals, and a renewed vision for your relationship rooted in intimacy, intention, and the deep knowing that you are choosing each other again, on purpose.
This bespoke experience is available to only three couples so that every moment feels deeply personal, private, and meticulously supported.
With such an intimate group, we’re able to offer high-touch attention, customized guidance, and the kind of elevated care that simply isn’t possible in a larger retreat. Each couple enjoys their own spacious, two-story private casita and access to a shared outdoor pool, creating the perfect balance of connection, privacy, and serene luxury throughout your stay.

Meals are crafted to nourish both body and connection: fresh, vibrant, locally sourced cuisine, candlelit dinners on-site, and opportunities to explore some of Costa Rica’s exceptional restaurants together.
Every bite supports your wellbeing and adds to the sensory richness of your experience.
You’ll also have time for playful exploration, nature walks, sunset views, and quiet moments that invite laughter, closeness, and rediscovery. And with private roundtrip transfers to and from SJO airport and all included activities thoughtfully coordinated, you can fully relax into the journey without worrying about logistics.

Five (5) nights at Casa del Sol Retreat & Wellness Center, a new eco-chic wellness & retreat center in Atenas, Costa Rica (wifi available on-site).
A private 2-story casita for you and your partner.
Breakfast buffet each morning with local (mostly organic) ingredients, smoothies
Most lunches and dinners, including several chef-prepared meals on-site as well as delicious options at local establishments.
Ground Transportation to/from the San Jose, SJO airport & Casa del Sol Retreat Center at scheduled times.
Ground transportation to/from scheduled eco-tourism activities.

Your round-trip airfare to and from the San Jose, Costa Rica Airport and your home.
Any (optional) hotel stay(s) before and/or after the retreat. Post-retreat time on-site may be available.

What Is Not Included:
Accomodations
Our intimate retreat center will be private to our retreat guests ONLY so you can enjoy every inch of the gorgeous gated property including the sparkling pool, an abundance of fruit trees, and breathtaking sunsets. Each casita has a kitchenette, a bathroom, living space, outdoor deck with table and hammock adjacent to the pool, as well as a quiet outdoor reflection spaces.
Payment Plans
Upon check out, options for payments plans are available including Klarna & Afterpay.
Cancellation Policy
A $500, non-refundable deposit, is included for all reservations.
Cancellations made now through February 5, 2026 will be refunded less deposit. Cancellations made February 6, 2026-March 6, 2026 will be refunded at 50%.Cancellations after March 6, 2026 are non-refundable.
The three-part payment plan is billed every 3 months and must be complete no later than 30 days prior to retreat.
Please purchase travel insurance for unavoidable emergencies that may result in cancellation. Insurance quotes available upon request.

Nicole McDonald is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent more than 25 years helping couples reconnect, heal, and grow stronger together. She believes love is built through trust, communication, and shared experiences, which is why she created these retreats: to give couples the tools and space to deepen their bond.
Passionate about helping couples thrive, Nicole brings both clinical expertise and a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to every retreat she leads. When she’s not working with couples, Nicole loves traveling, enjoying adventures with family and friends, and spending time with her animals.

I’m so busy already with work and/or family obligations. How will I find the time to attend this retreat?
If you feel the pull of work obligations, remember your most valuable asset is not your employer or your business. Your most valuable asset is your health and wellbeing. This retreat will help you enhance your life in so many ways that you may even increase your productivity, creativity and innovation upon return.
You’re so busy putting everyone’s needs first… that you may not remember what it is like to prioritize your relationship. For that matter, maybe you never had an opportunity to really consider what would bring YOU joy.
